Technician – Electro Mechanical

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-mechanical Technician to support our food production facility by ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems across production floors, plant infrastructure, office areas, and warehouse facilities. This role is critical to maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, food and health safety, and compliance, in a fast-paced, hygiene-sensitive environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems and equipment (motors, conveyors, sensors, control panels, etc.) in the production area.

· Conduct electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting to minimise downtime.

· Support the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of production and plant machinery and control systems.

· Conduct regular inspections of production line equipment, warehouse equipment, office building systems and utilities within the plant.

· Assist with maintenance and repair tasks in office spaces (lighting, HVAC controls, wiring, etc.) and warehouse systems (dock equipment, forklifts, automated storage systems).

· Monitor and respond to breakdowns or malfunctions across all assigned areas.

· Ensure all work complies with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.

· Maintain accurate maintenance logs, record tasks done and support continuous improvement initiatives.

· Collaborate closely with the production and quality teams to address technical issues promptly and in line with established procedures.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

· Technical diploma or certification in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.

· Minimum 2–3 years in a similar role and with relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs, sensors, pneumatics, and motors.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

· Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.

· Flexibility to work across different facility areas: production lines, plant infrastructure, office systems, and warehouse operations.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

· Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to urgent maintenance needs.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

 

The role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Merchandiser – Full Time

The role of the merchandiser is to offer a high level of service to our retail clients. The selected candidate will work on a daily basis within several retail stores around Malta and perform the following duties:

· Replenish shelf space allocated to the company

· Check expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation of all products

· Ensuring the best position for our products, promotional signage, and price tags

· Liaise with the sales team on any shortages

· Working independently, managing time effectively, and problem – solving

 

The ideal Candidate :

· Must be able to carry and lift biscuit and snack boxes repeatedly.

· Must be smart

· Must have good communication skills, preferably in both Maltese and English.

· Must be disciplined and able to work on their own initiative

· Experience would be considered an asset; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
